“Calico Jack” is a western short story I wrote for a creative writing class. I chose the Western genre, because I figured no one else in the class would. I was right. I’ve often thought about expanding this into a full-length story. There’s certainly enough of a story there to do so. It’s nothing special, just a tale of revenge.

“Choices” is another short story I wrote for the aforementioned creative writing class. It’s the story of two siblings, wrestling with the decision of whether or not to remove their father from life support. The list of maladies their father has is very similar to the health problems my father had at the time. Thankfully, my sister and I never had to go through the crisis I wrote about in “Choices.”
Let me know if you have any trouble with these files; I’ve tested them, but sometimes even the best of us miss the obvious.
