Here you will find out about my writing and other projects. Feel free to leave comments. As time goes by, this site will become more sophisticated and hopefully, be able to provide you with all the information you need about his novels, short stories, and fantasy & sci-fi worlds. I’ll keep you up-to-date on my most recent projects, too. You can also stay up-to-date at my Facebook page.
I am Nuvo’s Best of Indy — Best Local Author 3rd place Honoree for 2014 and 2015, and 2nd place Honoree for 2016. Two of my short stories appear in Fear the Boot’s Sojourn speculative fiction anthologies. I also volunteer for the tabletop gaming industry ENnie Awards and maintain a gaming blog (http://doctorstrangeroll.wordpress.com) in addition to my writing blog.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English (Creative Writing) from Indiana University in 2006, and have an Associates Degree in Science from Richard Bland College of the College of William and Mary. I was born in central Indiana in the ’70s. I’m first-generation American on my mother’s side and we’ve traced my father’s side back to Scotland. They immigrated to Virginia in the mid-1700s. Growing up in the ’80s during the Cold War colored my world view. I lived in Indiana until 1985, then moved to Germany until 1990, then moved to Virginia until 1995, and finally back to Indiana (essentially an army brat). I’ve been living in Indianapolis ever since. I was married in 2005, but lost my wife to complications from diabetes in 2008. I remarried in 2010.
My hobbies include reading, learning, tabletop and computer gaming, smoking meat, and igniting young people’s curiosity and passion for science and exploration.
